We have closely followed the guidelines of the CDC and Commonwealth of Mass as we open for takeout.  A committee was formed and met virtually to discuss and develop a lengthy new procedures and protocols document.  Building on our culture of cleanliness and food safety, we have implemented new social distancing procedures, enhanced workplace cleaning and disinfecting, use of personal protective equipment to include mask and gloves, and employee self certification regarding symptoms and or exposure to Covid19.   We are confident that with our top-notch team, we are well positioned to offer the safest dining experience in the region.  We will stay closely aligned with whatever Governor Baker announces as to the next phases of the pandemic.  We welcome your feedback and support as we navigate towards a new normal.  Please feel free to email us with any ideas or concerns.

Today, we made the difficult decision to close the Quicks Hole Tavern, our year round restaurant located here in Woods Hole, effective today.

This decision was not taken lightly, and was informed by Massachusetts Governor Baker’s announcement yesterday regarding closure of public spaces to increase social distancing. We will not re-open until the public health directive from the Governor changes.

While we considered staying open to offer take-out, we simply did not believe remaining open was in the best interest of our dedicated staff. We will reconsider this if conditions change.

The end of winter on Cape Cod is a delicate time for all locals, many of whom have saved though the lean winter months expecting their pay to increase right about now as the season commences. Supporting our team is our number one priority, and to that end we are offering interest free loans as well as 100% health insurance premium coverage to cushion this difficult blow.

Being in hospitality, it is in our DNA to serve you, and we deeply regret that the current circumstances make that impossible.

That said, we are confident that this too shall pass.

We are praying for you and the safety of our nation. Peace.

With the rising concerns about the coronavirus, we feel it is our responsibility to acknowledge the issue and to provide you with information about steps we are taking for your safety.

We implemented these new protocols over three weeks ago, and have retrained staff to take extra precautions including cleaning all common areas like bathrooms, workstations, handrails, and computer screens regularly during the day. All high touch areas of the restaurant are being cleaned with industrial grade sanitizer at least three times per day. We also added hand sanitizer stations at our front door for your use as you enter and exit the building.

We always take sanitation very seriously and are here to provide you with a safe and pleasant experience. We are doing everything we can to ensure your safety.

We are here for you.
